Manager Liu previously believed that purchasing directly from a production plant would certainly be cheaper than passing middlemen such as trading companies. However, he found that many heavy-duty users would rather purchase goods from middlemen at high cost.

Although the price of purchasing from a production plant will be lower than that of a trading company, companies often require multiple products. Products with different brands and different specifications cannot be purchased from a single factory. The purchase of goods from middlemen, because of complete brands, varieties, and specifications, does not need to run many manufacturers, which can greatly reduce the cost of the company.

According to reports, it is impossible to purchase at the manufacturer. At present, among the heavy trucks being used in China, imported brands occupy a high proportion, and products of famous foreign brands such as Mitsubishi, Nissan, Hino, Isuzu, Volvo and Hyundai occupy a large part of the market. At the same time, some of the components used on domestic heavy trucks also need to be imported.

Therefore, in the heavy-duty auto parts market, the protagonist is a middleman engaged in the trade of imported products, and they play a decisive role in this industry.

Imports account for most of the country

The “Financial Times” reporter interviewed the China Heavy-duty Automobile Engineering Machinery Parts Association and learned that under this industry pattern, it is not an easy task to buy low-priced, high-quality accessories.

Manager Liu and Master Sun moved for two days at the show and also talked about several companies, but they never found a satisfactory supplier.

Manager Liu said that in fact, they still very much want to buy domestic products, but due to quality, product reliability, after-sales service and other issues can not be guaranteed, and finally can only give up.

According to Manager Liu, the companies they talked about had sales of similar products, but the prices were uneven, and the large-scale prices were high. Although the prices of small stores were low, it was difficult to distinguish between true and false.

Experts believe that although many people in the industry claim that the domestic auto parts industry has been improved, the level of management has been improved, and the level of management and technology has begun to conform with international standards. However, in the heavy-duty auto parts market, foreign trade companies, etc. Business still occupies the mainstream position, and imported products have taken away most of the country. There are a large number of these foreign trade companies, and the scales are very large and small, and the products converge, making it difficult for people to choose high quality and low price products.

Except for most of the markets occupied by foreign trade companies, the remaining small share is divided between the auto parts factory and the small parts factories throughout the country. The parts and components companies of automakers are mainly used for supporting their products, while the products of small and small factories are mainly responsible for the aftermarket. However, these manufacturers also have serious homogeneity, and their products are mostly parts with low technical content.
