·Three new regulations such as private car exemption are implemented today

From today (September 1), three new regulations, including “New Car Exemption for New Cars within 6 Years”, “New Energy Vehicle Exemption from Purchase Tax” and “Compulsory Certification for Child Safety Seats”, have been officially implemented.

According to the vehicle inspection reform measures jointly launched by the Ministry of Public Security and the AQSIQ, since September 1 this year, private cars (non-operating cars and other small minibuses) with a service life of less than 6 years are exempted from on-line inspection.

According to the decision of the State Council executive meeting, from September 1st, 2014 to the end of 2017, the pure electric and qualified plug-in (including extended-program) hybrid and fuel cell types are licensed for sale in China (including imports). New energy vehicles are exempt from vehicle purchase tax.

In January this year, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the National Certification and Accreditation Administration decided to implement compulsory product certification for child safety seats from September 1 this year; since September 1 next year, children's safety seats have not obtained compulsory product certification. Chairs may not be shipped, sold, imported or used in other business activities.
