The 400,000 tons of ion-exchange membrane caustic soda project of the Jinchuan Group's chemical plant with an investment of 800 million yuan has undergone intense construction in the past two years. Now that all subprojects have basically been completed, the single-vehicle trial run conducted recently has been successful.

The annual output of 400,000 tons of ion-exchange membrane caustic soda project is the key construction project of the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” of Jinchuan Corporation, and is also the first project of the company's newly built three plant area. It covers an area of approximately 216,600 square meters, and has an estimated investment of 800 million yuan. The project adopts the world's most advanced ion-exchange membrane technology for alkali production. After completion, it can meet the requirements of the non-ferrous metals industry for chlor-alkali products, and can provide sufficient raw materials for the development of sodium sulfite and oxalic acid industries.

Since the project started construction in September 2007, the project team has worked closely with the construction company to ensure the progress, safety and quality of the project. In response to the characteristics of the hazardous chemicals production system under construction, the group chemical plants have increased early cooperation with the design institutes and achieved technological innovation results in the new project design for the existing 55,000-ton chlor-alkali production system in many years of production practice. To carry out the transformation, following the principle of advanced technology, reliable equipment, and reasonable investment, the project will be built into an ion-exchange membrane caustic soda system with low energy consumption, high product quality, reliable safety, environmental protection, and advanced operation and management.

In order to ensure the successful commissioning of the project, the group chemical plant has formulated a detailed trial program. At the same time, the selection of elite troops will go to Henan Lianchuang for practical training. At present, the preparatory work for desalinated water, soft water and air compressors is being conducted in an intense and orderly manner. The key equipment for the project, the ion membrane electrolyzer, has also entered the installation phase.

Tungsten Carbide Grits

Tungsten carbide grits are small particles or granules of tungsten carbide, a compound made up of tungsten and carbon atoms. They are extremely hard and have a high resistance to wear and abrasion, making them useful in a variety of industrial applications.
Tungsten carbide grits are often used as abrasives in cutting tools, grinding wheels, and sandpaper. They can also be used as an additive in metal alloys to improve their hardness and wear resistance. Additionally, tungsten carbide grits are used in the mining and drilling industry for rock drilling and excavation.
These grits are available in different sizes and shapes, such as spherical or irregular particles, depending on the specific application. They are typically produced through a process called sintering, where Tungsten Carbide Powder is heated and compressed to form a solid material.
Overall, tungsten carbide grits are highly valued for their hardness, durability, and resistance to wear, making them essential in various industries where high-performance materials are required.
