The X15's original model was the ISX15 in the North American market, which is related to the amount of loading and usage. The performance of the X15 is not much different from that of the original ISX15. It is divided into a performance version and a fuel saving version according to the calibration output. The power covers 400-605 hp and the peak torque is 1967-2780 Nm. According to Cummins’ official statement, the basic design of the X15 is indeed the same as that of the ISX15. Compared to the products introduced in 2012, the cylinders, cylinder heads, turbochargers and other parts of the new aircraft have been strengthened and upgraded.

But this alone cannot be defined as a new engine. In fact, Cummins added some features to the X15 that can be called black technology, one called ADEPT (Advanced Dynamic Efficient PowerChain Technology) and the other is Connected Diagnostics.

Among them ADEPT includes two functions: SmartCoast and SmartTorque. These two functions are achieved by matching the automatic transmission. Here's a brief introduction:

1. Smart taxiing: When the vehicle is in a modest downhill state, the transmission will automatically disengage, reduce drag, let the engine idle and maintain kinetic energy, in order to achieve the effect of fuel economy. When you return to the engaged state, the gearbox will automatically hang on the appropriate gear.

2. Smart Torque: Uses intelligent torque management to reduce unnecessary downshifting of the gearbox and keep the engine in the best speed range for efficient fuel economy.

After the X15 was released, Cummins' Connected Diagnostics will be available soon. The general driving computer can read all the data of the vehicle. Cummins has added a wireless connection system based on this and can perform remote information processing. If the engine fails, it will collect and transmit fault codes. The cause of the failure and the immediate processing method are sent to the vehicle user from the official system.

In the near future, the system will also add over-the-air (OTA) technology, allowing the engine to be changed, or upgraded, by remote operation without having to send the car to the service station.

At present, China is undoubtedly a 13-liter aircraft occupying the mainstream of the large-displacement market, and this state is estimated to continue for a long period of time. Is a larger displacement of 13 liters or more suitable for domestic logistics and transportation, or is it even more necessary for larger displacements to be used in the country?

If we look at the land area and the transportation mileage, U.S. logistics is undoubtedly an object that we should refer to.
