The area has a national instrument functional materials engineering and technology research center, and gathered a number of colleges and universities, in the temperature measurement materials, sensor sensitive materials, high environmental adaptability special alloys, metal composite electronic materials, sapphire substrate materials and other functional materials research and The development ranks the leading position in China, and there are backbone enterprises of Chuanyi System and a large number of related private enterprises as the industrial chain support. The advantages of the Caijia Group and Shuitu Hi-tech Industrial Park in the Beijiao District of the Liangjiang New Area are obvious, and infrastructure, logistics, and supporting facilities are very mature. A number of well-known Chinese and foreign companies such as General Electric and Lifan Group have entered the city and a number of major industries in the field of new materials. The project will be completed and put into operation one after another.

Beibei District has invested 10 million yuan in the early construction of the functional material industrialization base in the past two years, and has included functional materials as key areas for industrial development into the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” and the high-tech industrial development plan.
