“The main process technology, key materials and equipment technologies integrated in this project are the first in the country in the reclaimed rubber industry and have reached the international leading level.” said Jin Yong, director of the appraisal committee and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

The general manager of the company, Guo Suyan, introduced that the technology adopts closed continuous production equipment and realizes no waste water and exhaust emissions through the normal pressure medium temperature production process. At the same time, the precise regenerative heating technology and efficient three-dimensional shearing technology have resulted in significant energy consumption. Reduce energy consumption up to 20% year-on-year. In particular, the goal of separating people, machinery, and materials into safe production has been achieved. This lays the foundation for automation and makes intelligentization possible.

“Simply speaking, continuous sealed equipment will significantly reduce the energy consumption of recycled rubber production, with a ton of energy consumption of 580 kWh, 31% lower than the 850 kWh required by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and outstanding energy-saving results. It will also be implemented through intelligent remote centralized control. The unmanned operation of a number of modules has been achieved, reducing the number of people in a single shift of the project to six, which is an average of 20 workers in a single shift compared with the industry's production capacity, which is a substantial 70% reduction, said Guo Suyan.

Experts believe that this is the first continuous closed reclaimed rubber production line in China, which achieves uniform mixing and infiltration and provides support for subsequent thermal chemical regeneration process equipment. Its original flexible self-adapting spiral structure can not only scrape off the glue powder adhered on the cylinder wall during the production process, but also make the rubber powder adhered on the spiral off by its own axial displacement, effectively solving the problem that the equipment is easy to use. For technical problems in the industries such as sticking, blocking, and agglomeration, the application of the integrated technology should be promoted as soon as possible.
