The Bosch Group recently stated that Volkmar Denner has been elected as its new CEO . Volkmar Denner succeeded Franz Fehrenbach. Fehrenbach will replace Hermann Scholl as Chairman of the Bosch Group's Supervisory Board. The above two appointments will take effect on July 1 this year. Denner, 55 years old, has been the head of the automotive electronics division of the Bosch Group since 2003 and joined the Bosch Group Management Committee in 2006. The 62-year-old Fehrenbach has been CEO of the Bosch Group since 2003 and will succeed Hermann Scholl as Chairman of the Bosch Group Supervisory Board. Hermann Scholl, 76, has spent 50 years at Bosch and will announce retirement on June 30 this year. Denner holds a Ph.D. in physics and joined Bosch in 1986. Since July 2010, he has been responsible for the product planning and technical coordination of Bosch's three major businesses. A few days ago, the German manager magazine reported that Bernd Bohr, head of Bosch Automotive Business Unit, was the most likely candidate to succeed Franz. However, the new CEO who was eventually elected was not Bernd Bohr.
