She is the student of Cheng Hongli, a junior high school in Gongjia Township, Shizhong District, Neijiang City. She is only 13 years old, but she has taken care of her mentally disabled mother for more than seven years.

Cheng Hongli’s hometown is in Jingui Village, Gongjia Township. When she was 6 years old, her grandparents died. The disabled father went out to work and she took up the responsibility of taking care of the mentally retarded mother. After attending elementary school, she had to get up and cook at 5 o'clock in the morning every morning to dress her mother, comb her hair, and feed her. She then rushed to the school; after school, she rushed back to cook and feed her food.

In September last year, Cheng Hongli entered Gongjia Township junior high school. The school is more than 10 kilometers away from home. To facilitate the care of her mother, she rents a room near the school and brings her mother to live with her.
