The Regulations for the Implementation of Management of Standards for the Equipment Industry (Provisional) promulgated by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will take effect on June 1.

According to the "Implementing Rules", the formulation and management of industry standards is under the centralized management of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Department of Equipment Industry is specifically responsible for the management of industry standards in the equipment industry. The industry standard technical support agencies assist the Equipment Industry Division in the development of industry standards. The commissioned agency is commissioned by the Ministry of Equipment Industry to carry out the daily management of the industry standards for the industry. The entrusted agency of the shipbuilding industry is the China Shipbuilding Industry Comprehensive Technology and Economic Research Institute. Among them, the day-to-day management of the industry standards of the companies and institutions affiliated to China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation is undertaken by the China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation Standardization Research Center.

Li Qiang, deputy director of the China Shipbuilding Technology Comprehensive Economic Research Institute, believes that the issuance of the "Implementation Rules" provides detailed policy basis for standard setting and management, and clarifies the specific requirements for each link from standard establishment to reexamination.
