Rapid growth in port production overall
According to the statistics of the monthly report, the throughput of the above-scale ports completed 5.22 billion tons of cargo throughput, an increase of 10.1% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 2.9 percentage points higher than the same period of last year. Among them, coastal ports completed 3.60 billion tons, an increase of 9.9%; inland ports completed 1.62 billion tons, an increase of 10.4%.
Slowdown in growth of foreign trade cargo throughput
The ports above designated size achieved 1.64 billion tons of foreign cargo throughput, an increase of 8.4% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 5.2 percentage points lower than that of the same period of last year. Among them, the coastal ports completed 1.5 billion tons, an increase of 8.2%; the inland ports completed 150 million tons, an increase of 10.1%.
Massive material transportation is generally stable, but import growth slows down
The above-scale ports completed a total of 1.06 billion tons of coal and products, an increase of 7.8% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 2.3% faster than the same period of last year. Among them, the north port coal shipments increased by 3.2%; coal foreign trade inbound throughput increased by 21.6%, the growth rate slowed down compared to the same period last year.
The ports above designated size achieved a total throughput of 380 million tons of oil, gas and products, an increase of 2.1% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 4.6 percentage points higher than that of the same period of last year. Crude oil foreign trade inbound throughput increased by 4.8%, down 6.4 percentage points from the same period of last year. The throughput of metal ores completed by ports above designated size was 820 million tons, an increase of 9.2% year-on-year. The growth rate was basically the same as that of the same period of last year, in which the import throughput of iron ore foreign trade increased by 7.0%, which was 4.7 percentage points lower than that of the same period of last year.
Container throughput grows steadily
The throughput of the above-scale ports completed 91.51 million TEU of containers, an increase of 8.3% year-on-year, and the growth rate was basically the same as that of the same period of last year. Among them, the coastal ports completed 81.53 million TEUs, an increase of 8.0%; the inland ports completed 9.98 million TEUs, an increase of 11.3%. Among them, international routes and internal extensions increased by 1.9% and 15.3%, respectively, which fell by 1.0 and 6.7 percentage points from the same period of last year. The domestic trade line increased by 17.0%, which was 1.4 percentage points higher than the same period of last year.
Passenger throughput continues to decline
The passenger throughput of the above-scale ports completed 43.17 million passengers, a year-on-year decrease of 3.9%. Among them, 35.22 million people completed coastal ports, a decrease of 1.0%; inland ports completed 7.54 million, a decrease of 15.6%.
