The Norwegian Havyard Shipbuilding Group has announced that it has developed a marine navigation and communication subsystem called “NavComâ€, in which the first system has been installed to the soon-to-be-completed Saeborg.
The Saeborg supply vessel is being built by Havyard Ship Technology in Leirvik. The Havyard marine communications subsystem includes radar, ECDIS, recorder, depth sounder, autopilot, rudder, VDR, AIS and GPS.
In the future, ships designed by other shipyards but designed by Havyard will also incorporate the Havyard navigation and communication subsystem into the design and system package.
