In order to promote the early elimination of Guangdong's yellow-label vehicles, in accordance with the "Guangdong Province Air Pollution Prevention and Control Action Plan" and "Guangdong Province's "Twelfth Five-Year" second half of the major pollutants emission reduction action plan", combined with the actual situation of Guangdong air pollution prevention and control work The Provincial Environmental Protection Department and the Provincial Department of Finance jointly drafted a plan for the 2014 central air pollution prevention and control special fund. According to the plan, the central air pollution prevention special fund plans to allocate 370 million yuan for the early elimination of yellow-label vehicles.

The provincial finance grants subsidies in accordance with 20% of the standard. The reporter calculated that the cities in the Pearl River Delta still need to support 2.484 billion yuan. On average, the Pearl River Delta eliminated a yellow-label vehicle and city subsidies totaling 20,000 yuan.

At present, the total number of yellow-label vehicles in Guangdong is 1.29 million. The number of yellow-label vehicles to be eliminated this year is 493,000, accounting for 30% of the total number of yellow-label vehicles in Guangdong. In order to eliminate the average subsidy of 20,000 vehicles, the actual elimination of 493,000 yellow-label vehicles actually requires 10 billion yuan.

The elimination subsidies provided by the central government, Guangdong provincial finance, and local municipal finance are all in place, and the gap is large compared with the actual required funds.
