Integral forged stem is usually made from A182-F6(1Cr13) with great tensile strength for cast steel gate valve so there would be no accident of disc trapped in the valve body owing to the stem head's accidental rupture. Back sealing structure is adopted to the head of stem to ensure no external leakage when valve is in full opening position. By using different material, the Cast Steel Gate Valve could be suitable for medium such as water, steam, oil, nitric acid, acetic acid, oxidizing substance, carbamide and etc. Manual/bevel gear/pneumatic or electric actuators could be chosen by needs. Molded flexible graphite is used for packing material. PTFE or combined packing material can be also used if being asked by the customer. The internal surface of the stuffing box, of which area is contacted with the packing, is of excellent finish (Ra 3.2μm). The stem surface, contacted with the packing, should be rolled and pressed after being precisely machined so as to reach the high finish(Ra 0.8μm) and compactness requirement and ensure the reliable tightness of the stem area.
